How does Concurrent enrollment work?

High School students may enroll in some of our general education requirement courses right along with our regular OSU students and receive the same credit.

Lessons are already on the Interent. Students complete assignments and email or fax them to the instructors. Feedback is provided by email, phone or fax.

Instructors are available via email and telephone so that students have support and assistance when they need it.

Quizzes and exams are taken while students are at school and are protored by a high school teacher, librarian, counselor, or other acceptable personnel on the high school campus. Results with feedback are returned to the students.

When they successfully complete the course, the students will recieve a grade and an official OSU transcript showing their work.

How can college-bound students benefit by taking concurrent enrollment courses from OSU?

They can take courses that fulfill the requirements for both high school and college graduation while they are still in high school.

Concurrent enrollment courses save time and money. Students can graduate from college in a shorter time span because they can get general education requirements finished while they are still in high school. This can mean a big savings in room, board and tution when they get to college.

By graduating sooner, students can begin career of their dreams earlier.

How does your school benefit by allowing students to take concurrent enrollment courses from OSU on the Internet?

Your students stay right there on your campus - no need for anyone to leave school to go somewhere else for a class.

These concurrent enrollment courses fit into your class schedule because they are on the Internet--no need to turn your schedule upside down to accommodate televised class or a community college schedule.

The stature of your school is increased when you make college courses available to your students. Parents are pleased when their children can begin college with a head start that will save them both time and money.

How much does it cost? Can we pay by PO number?

Schools pay a non-refundable OSU Admission fee of $40 per student to establish a college transcript. This must accompany the registration forms.

We will bill schools for tuition after the final drop dates to ensure that you only pay for students who want to be in the class. Textbooks can be purchased from the OSU bookstore, or directly from the publisher, or from other sources (often less expensive) available on the Internet.

Tuition for the 2009-2010 school year is expected to be:

3 credit hour courses: $745.65 ($394.05 tuition plus $351.60 distance delivery fee)

5 credit hour courses: $1242.75 ($656.75 tuition plus $586.00 distance delivery fee)

(Oklahoma schools - call 800-452-2787 to discuss tuition waivers for Oklahoma residents)

(Tuition is subject to change without notice.)

Yes, we accept PO numbers.

If parents or students are paying for the course(s), click here for information about how you will receive the bill, and how to pay it.
